We noticed many developers skip region selection when creating a new Appwrite project, often ending up with unnecessary latency. We can't make light travel faster (yet...), but we can make better defaults. Appwrite now automatically selects the closest region to you, both in the Console and next release of the CLI. You can still choose any region you prefer. Small improvement, but good defaults === great DX.
