we are at the dawn of groundbreaking, high-quality games running in browsers. web-based games can run pretty much anywhere: mobile, PC, and standalone devices with browsers. even Unreal Engine recently announced they will target the web as a platform too! here's what I made with Three.js in the past few weeks: endless flight, endless drive, and endless sail. you can explore an endless open world with different seasons, weather, and terrain, and calm or raging seas. heck, you can go to the moon if you'd like. everything runs in a browser.
