The site felt sluggish, so my reflex was “throw a cache at it.” but then I decide to leverage some optimisation using @inertiajs already gives me that is available in The Boring Stack Instead, I added `Server-Timing` headers to stop guessing and see what was actually happening. Turns out the backend was spending anywhere from 5ms to 77ms doing real work. The other ~400ms? Mostly the internet being the internet. That completely changed the problem. A cache might shave off a couple milliseconds
